Giving Back

Charity support is fundamental to the Home Financial values, and for the last 4 years we have donated £2,940 to well-deserved causes.  This year we are proud to continue to support charities that have been chosen by our team. In 2023 we will continue to donate £10 per mortgage written within a chosen month within each quarter.

Our selected charities for 2023 are:

Quarter 1 (March)

Halton Haven Hospice

Halton Haven provides specialist palliative care to people from Halton and surrounding areas who are living with terminal conditions and their families. Community donations help with the running costs of the hospice, without this they wouldn’t be able to care for those who need their support.

This charity was selected by Ross, it is very close to his heart after his family recently experienced their incredible work when a close family relative was cared for at the hospice.

We recently held our first charity networking event in our Runcorn shop in January where £160 from the ticket sales was donated to the charity.  In addition, during March we will be donating £10 for each mortgage written.

Quarter 2 (May/June)

Claire House helps seriously and terminally ill children live life to the full by creating wonderful experiences and bringing back a sense of normality to family life.

This charity offers incredible support for families, which makes a massive difference when they are dealing with such an unimaginable challenging time.

We look forward to supporting this well deserved charity during the month of June.

Manchester and Cheshire Dogs Home

Based in Manchester and Cheshire, this charity promise to never put a healthy dog down. Their work helps care for and rehome unloved and unwanted dogs.

Lindsey is a huge animal lover and has 3 dogs of her own so this charity was a natural choice from her to recognise their invaluable work for animals in the local area.

This year we decided that offering our time to charities is also just as beneficial and important as financial donations.  We have agreed to volunteer at the Cheshire Dogs home in May, where the team will help care for the animals over 2 afternoons during the month.

Quarter 3 (September)

Warrington Youth Zone –

Warrington Youth Zone’s mission is to transform the lives of Young People across Warrington. Their opportunities and activities inspire young people to lead healthier, happier and more positive lives.

Chris from our case progression team initially nominated this charity last year, as his brother regularly attends their Buddy Up programme. The programme does amazing work with young people with additional needs in the local community, who are at risk of becoming socially isolated.

In December 2022 we donated £260 and we were invited to see their fantastic facilities. We were really impressed by the work they do and how they inspire young people to achieve through their wide range of programmes. This year we wanted to continue our support of this brilliant initiative in the local Warrington area.

Quarter 4 (November)

Widnes and Runcorn Cancer Support –

This community based charity offers emotional and psychological support for people from Halton whose lives have been touched by cancer.  The centre, based in Widnes, offers a number of services to patients and their families, including counselling, respite breaks and children and young people’s service.  Without donations and volunteers they wouldn’t be able to offer their full range of services, their dedication has a huge impact on everyone involved so it is important for us to show our support.

Unfortunately cancer has touched the lives of many of our team. We wanted to recognise and support the outstanding work that this local charity offers the local community by donating during the month of November.

We are thrilled to support such worthy causes again this year.  Remember every mortgage completed within a chosen month each quarter will receive a donation to charity.  If you would like to speak to one of our advisers about your mortgage then please contact us on 01925 939 170 or 01928 333 351 or email us at
